Last sixth of december 2011, I sang When You Believe by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston for a singing competition named HIMIG Pharmacy 2011. It was euphoric that my dreams of performing at the University of Santo Tomas Medicine Auditorium came true! Yay! Luckily, I won the Voter’s Choice Award!
Well, I have learned so many things in the competition. I may not have won second, first or champion but I definitely knew that the competition was not about the prize but its all about how you performed or as others say, how you fought the fight and did your best to bring you to who you are. It doesn’t matter whether you win or not. The only thing that matters is that you’ve shared your talent and captured the hearts of many people. That can only be the true sense of winning for me. So eitherway, I did win. ;)
I may have won the voter’s choice award and it may give me something to be proud of but it did not give me any feeling to be. Fame eventually dies and it wouldn’t leave you anything. I knew for once that this wasn’t meant for me. I know I’m meant for something better and much fulfilling in life. :)

Special mentions to 4F Pharmacy 2012, Tita Grace, Tita Gina, Chesca, Dhette, My Family - Mama, Papa, Guen, Goel, Gian, and Geus, my friends, HIMIG friends, the bully friend from Seattle (for the encouraging words - ironic, I know) and everyone! Thank you so much for sharing with me one good journey. I am very grateful that God has given me the chance to have known you all!
